Hello McKenzie, A few friendly reminders!
-Today is an Early Release school day, buses will leave campus at 3pm.
-3rd/4th boys bb have practice @ 4:15pm. If your child is on the team and you have not called the elementary office to have them stay, they will be on the 3pm bus home.
-HSBB games tonight. Boys @ 5:30 pm & Girls @ 7 pm
-7th grade doing a fundraiser @ HS games: 50/50 raffle, bake sale & pop shots
-Winter Break is 12/19/2022 through 1/2/2023.
-We will return on 1/3/2023 and that Friday, 1/6/23, is an Early Release school day.

Our 2nd graders worked so hard to raise salmon in their classrooms and were finally able to release them into the river!
We love teaching our youth about the beauty of the McKenzie Valley and everything it offers our community.

Lane County Public Health is hosting another COVID vaccination clinic on Monday from 1-3 p.m.
It will be held in the Old Gym.
Walk-Ins will be accepted.

We just learned that for tomorrow's Middle School BB game @ Mapleton on 12/14/22. The boys team will play first at 4 pm and the girls game will follow.

Due to a scheduling snafu, both HS basketball games were posted with game times of 7pm.
Tonight's home games vs. Mapleton, the boys team will play at 5:30 pm and the girls team will play at 7:00 pm. Sorry for any confusion.

McKenzie School District is on a 2 hour delay this morning December 2nd. Classes will start at 10 am. Buses will be at stops 2 hours later than usual.
Be prepared for inclement weather this winter!

Check out the fun we had at our 1st quarter assembly.
The goal for pet a palooza was to collect 500 lbs of pet food. We collected 916 lbs!!
Because our students exceeded their goals, Mr. Meister and Mr. Barrett agreed to eat crickets and chocolate-covered scorpions.
A big round of applause for their efforts!

We just wrapped up college application week and we are so proud of our amazing seniors.
With the help of Brent Caulley, they filled out 59 applications to 31 different universities, state colleges, community colleges, and trade schools across the US. All of the schools are featured in the picture below.
We can't wait to see our Eagles soar.
